Think I may be going the opposite way!

Currently the owner of a 1995 mk3 VW Golf vr6. Tbh, I really love the car, crap mpg's (22-26 urban ) but gives me smiles per gallon.

But have my first kid on the way and with the mods I've done (suspension and the usuals) and am being given a 1998 Merc C220cdi at 90k. Suppose a more sensible choice of car, but toying with the idea of modifying the merc to make it a bit younger and sportier. Been looking around a bit but can't seem to find much inspiration.

Was thinking trying to go DTM or maybe a lowered sleeper  but seems getting decent mods are hard to find on this age/model. Anyone got any pointers? Any help woud be much appreciated!

A C43 AMG kit would be tasty, but they are quite expensive and sometimes tough to get hold of.

As MercFanUk points out modifications for mercs can be very expensive.

Are you just taking about modifiying it visually? or the engine aswell?

If its visually, Click on the image below in my sig for some ideas :)

I like what you've done killerhertz.

I do think the c class can look really old fartish, but thats nicely tweeked

Think skirts and bumpers could be the way forward as an easy mod to make it look a bit younger
