I also like the e63 estate. Both are so much nicer than their saloon counterparts. I really wish BMW would make a M3 and new M5 touring.

The estates do look pretty cool and they would be much better for humping garden rubbish to the tip, its a pain having to drop the seats and stuff everything in.

I still use the wife's little Peugeot for that. Don't want any nails in my tyres!

What are they in for camshafts knocking out?

Cam Shafts , TB probs , Value tappets, 1 was a droped value, Head bolts etc!

Would you say they are more or less reliable than other Merc engines in the range then?

As long as you look after the engine then you will be fine
