Nice and tempting but very expensive , SC cost and labour around 9000 pounds .. for about 80hp.

570 bhp @ 6600 rpm

C55AMG is 367bhp standard.

You'd be surprised but an SC alone only gives about 80 HP at the flywheel. They didn't tell how they supply extra fuel needed for the SC and I couldn't see any additional fuel pumps or larger injectors. IIRC, these have an ECU version ME 2.8 which is very difficult to tweak.

That C55 is a fast car no doubt but I'd just drop a 55k engine in - more juice!

That would make more sense, hard part is finding a decent low miles 55K engine...

Brabus sells new engines off G55 every now and again. They go for about £9-10k. 10k! But new. Or you can rebuild an old one. Lots of fun too.

Not really. Very simular to most Bosch ME petrol ECU's. Alot easier than some of the newer MED17 setups.

I only had experience with N/A 55 AMG ECU and there was not much that could be done to it. Maybe they are pre-ME 2.8 on N/A cars, I'm not sure.
