Knocking noise from the front end

Hi,

I have 1994 E320.

I am getting a knocking noise (not loud) from the front at ~ 30-50 mph. The density of knocking is related to the speed and it's faster then wheel spin. I have new front brakes (rotors/pads), new struts; There is no play in the steering wheel and the rest of the suspensions looks good.

Another thing, I am not sure if it's related, - the speedometer arrow is jumping in tact with that knocking (I think).


What could it be?!

Front anti roll bar bushes?

Mine thumps a bit over bad roads, but at the last service the garage felt they weren't too bad.

Not sure if you have a speedo cable on your, but if you have it sounds like it has a kink in it? I've had this on non MB cars in the past.

Agree....try disconnecting the speedo cable to see if it cures the noise.
