I'm sure most of us have heard of Koenig Specials, and their wild widebody conversions, as well as crazy turbo, supercharge and increased displacement upgrades.

But whats your opinion of their creations? For the sake of argument, let's stick to the Merc conversions.

I have to admit, I'm not too keen on the W202 bodyconversion.
The W126 is nice, but I prefer the AMG Widebody.
But my favourite (and I'm preparing for some flack) is the C140 widebody.
It would have to have the full 580bhp 7.2 engine upgrade, too, but I just think it's an insane take on an already very imposing car!
And it just so happens one is for sale in Japan HERE. So if anyone is feeling flush just before Christmas..... ;)

I'm not a fan of the W210, C140 or the W202, i'm undecided on the R129 but I really like the W126, I think it looks much nicer with the body kit on, not to mention the engine upgrades as well.

Although out of all the brands i think i'd go for the Ferrari F50 as my favourite.

I've always felt they are triumph of money over taste.

I think they are glorious !

Koenig did fabulous w126 cars and the did some nice work on the Ferraris...i don't have a Koenig w126 but got a Ferrari Koenig !

yeah, i heard about that. Where's it classified ?

I saw it in January '09 Practical Classics, but was told about it by somebody who saw it elsewhere (can't remember where).

Incidentally, one of the writers on Practical Classics is building a W123 560E (!)
