Folks yesterday my handbrake light came on on the dashboard then the dash lit up with an audible alarm as well. I have looked at the handbrake but all looks ok it seems to release ok etc I checked the linkage under the back seat but all looks fine can any one help? Then out of the blue the brake fluid warning light came on saying visit garage checked brake fluid level its fine. checked for visible leaks any way but none to see any clues/advice would be welcome

It was properly sticking on slightly, due to cold weather freezing it on.
I suspect it was chilly at your neck of the woods.

Adjust and lubricate the linkage (under the seat) and the rear shoes and the parking brake warning should be sorted.

The BF light may be the level sensor playing up.

Tried that the seat was easy just as described put plenty of lube on linkage watched it on and off via pedal and handle no problem there adjusted it a couple of turns brake travel much better but light still on. Garage replaced rear pads light still on no joy at all with brake fluid light its still on checked sensor seems ok. Took rear wheels off but could not see much wrong so really stuck.

why cant i post a PM
