Just come back from Kwik-Fit this morning. I saw that they had an offer where they would change your oil and filter (using Mobil 1) for £34! I thought this would be quite a bargain as to buy the 8 litres of oil my C240 uses would set me back over £60 from Halfords alone!
I took an OEM filter and my own filter removal tool (wanted to make sure had the proper filter fitted - and they only cost about £3 from the stealership).
Boys at Kwikfit were happy to use the OEM filter, and although they were surprised the engine took 8 litres, still charged me £34 for the oil and labour .
So, for £37 including the filter, that is still £30 less than it would cost me to buy just the oil alone! What a bargain! Perfect for those intra-service oil changes. Whole thing took about half an hour, no need to book!
