Hi,

As ordering new ML thought I might also order after market (MB accessory) illuminated sills. Cost of sills £283 (inc VAT). Total cost to buy and fit £677.97 (inc VAT) . I Could have got memory pack for that

Guess who won't be purchasing aforementioned sills. Surely they just need 'slotting' in (i.e. no hole cutting or welding) and wiring up to door lighting system. Unless it's much more complicated than this?

Everyones a loser. I don't get sills (not at that price!) so MB don't make accessory sale and garage doesn't get job. That's a good business model

That really is shocking!! Would like some on my ML and hoped the wiring would be already there ready and waiting. Put me off when I read that I'd need to run cables myself!!

I was told that the warranty job to replace my rear centre seat belt in the ML would take a full day of labour. Hmmmm, I wonder if they just tell punters that or whether that's what they're able to claim against the warranty??
