    Hi All

i am having intermittent issues with the car. the 2 issues happens the same time so its linked.

i can be driving as normall and then all of a sudden i lose turbo, with this i dont have any message on dash i.e limp mode and i can change from 'C' to 'S' and 'M' but this doesnt make any difference and turbo will not work. when i stop when this is happening i cannot reverse at all it just revs. however if i turn the engine of and back on it works fine.

i have had diagnostics on this and its not showing anything.

i am at a loss at the moment , as garage said they wont know whats wrong until it happens and that they can look at it, but its intermittent and difficult to get it to them.

any ideas i would be grateful for.

I'd guess it's a gearbox fault, and the ECU puts the engine in to limp mode to protect it. - I'm surprised there are no stored error codes though.

You need to see a Mercedes Benz dealer, or an independent specialist with MB STAR Diagnostic computer - the standard OBDII code readers can not read all codes but only the basic set included with the OBDII protocol. I.e. the fault code might be MB-specific in which case it won't show up on the standard OBDII reader.
