Someone on here bought an ML from them last year after I noticed one on the forecourt. He seemed pleased at the time.
I have had reason to deal with them on two occasions, which didn't leave me too impressed. Before we bought the ML we looked at an ML with AMG kit at Lanes. The salesman swore blind that the CDi engines weren't turbocharged, and relied on high fuel pressure. Not great for a Merc specialist.
The second occasion was for a quote on new discs and pads all round on the ML. IIRC the quote exclusive of VAT from Lanes was the broadly the same as the quote from the main dealer inclusive of VAT, which again left me less than impressed.
One other thing to point out is that the modern MB stock is now slowly reducing, making way for classic MB and Jaguars.

I have used them and they are ok until something goes wrong, my car was supposedly given a service by them as part of the deal and it turned out to be done by a guy who also had supposedly reconditioned the steering box, which leaks still. also, several small niggles including warped discs, failed battery, failed headlight dip switch, frayed seatbelts (MOT failure which hthey had arranged) never got put right when I complained despite their so called warranty. Would never go back there, although the car I bought is fantastic! The owner is also quite aggresive when confronted with these problems, and the helpful sales man Tom, has since left.
