Just received this tool today having ordered this on eBay (#271316165272) for the Princely sum of £34.19 including postage. Greatly discounted since the RRP is around £60.
Fed up with a hand winding disc pad spreader I bought from Halfords a few years ago which never fitted the disc calipers on my Mercedes cars. I am hoping this will make changing disc pads even faster and cut down the replacement time from circa 40 minutes to under 30 minutes:bannana:. I have to replace the brake pads on 2 A-classes and an E-Class once the weather improves so hoping this tool is going to help speed up the process.

Since I can remove the disc pads for inspection without having to remove the caliper, I wonder if it would be possible to spread the piston with this tool without actually having to remove the caliper? If this is possible it will make changing disc pads lightning fast!
