Neil , I'm running out of space - need to get something to run over the winter and already have four cars ( not counting SWMBO's Golf ) , so something needs to go . While the 500 is legal and running , I was wanting to do some work on it , which leaves me in need of a 'daily driver' .

However , if no one wants to rescue it , I might just do that and put up with complaints from various family members about my 'collection' , since it would be both a sin and a wrench to scrap the 124 .

dont scrap it. Try advertising it over at vegetable oil diesel - home - they always are pretty "handy" and like good cheap veg cars.

if you do part it out, i may be interested in that centre cubby box.

No, not for D's car being broken, I meant for a suitable gearbox to show up.

Thanks folks,been in touch with Ian, Car is running great D. New battery,stereo,been using it non stop since arrival.particularly glad today as the snow has rendered the s203 immobile!!
