My Lawnflite 444 is a twin-blade 36in cut ride-on mower. Power comes from a 12hp Briggs & Stratton single cylinder petrol engine. Electric start/stop, with safety switch in seat. Nice tight turning circle, multi-position deck allows easy adjustment of cutting height and a five-speed transmission lets you mow at a variety of speeds. The headlights work when the engine runs. Recent service, new belts and blades sharpened - she's tip-top and ready to cut grass.
There's no grass collector with this model, but it has a bolt-on deflector (not used) which sits on the right-hand side of the cutting deck to deflect clippings.
At 36in cut, it really is a tad big for our lawn, which is why it's time to go. And the exercise of walking behind an 18in mower is now doing me some good!!
It's a very tidy machine and has many years' mowing ahead of it. With original owners guide/handbook. Located in Carterton, Oxfordshire. £425.
