Boot leak solved .

After much faffing and talcum powder it was discovered the water was coming in via the side vents in the boot . Not through the rubber flaps but between the bodywork and the vent .

Obviously the proper way is remove the bumper , get two new vents / vent seals and spend at least a day sorting it.

Ive neither the time or the weather to do this so did a bodge up . I noticed the vents will unclip from the panel and although they wont come out you can move them about so I cleaned the sealing face panel , and added some roof and gutter sealant to it then refitted the vent which was still slightly loose . I solved this by fitting some 1mm thick plastic on all four clips between them and the bodywork , finally i sealed all around the outer edge with more roof and gutter sealant , this stuff is instantly waterproof and doesnt set like silicon so the vent can come out again meaning if the pumber does need to come off at some point i can do the job properly 72853002_10220887961528471_4981387792425680896_n.jpg 73132084_10220887962688500_509206087048626176_n.jpg 72548349_10220887962568497_8233979255969546240_n.jpg 74711841_10220887965888580_8675561533914218496_n.jpg 72693215_10220887966848604_5170269536296894464_n.jpg .

A hose pipe test of 5 minutes per side around the rear lights has proved theres no more leak

Anybody know where the door and boot drain holes on the 2012 ML250 please? ... can't see them. Looked underneath ... just a door rubber
