Hi all.

was giving my car (w211 E280 CDI facelift) a spring clean (being optimistic ) and upon removing the engine cover; i saw a small filter(?) with a little oil on it. it was quite clear and only a little bit seems to have leaked...

have attached a couple of pics.

any ideas gents?photo.jpg

the fuel filter all right i would check the jubilee clip s a quick nip just make sure its all tight

I am surprised that there are jubilee clips on the fuel pipes, there should be a crimped clip. It looks like it may have been changed by someone who is not sure what should be done.

some mechanics will change the spring clips to jubilee clips because they can become stretched once opened

better to know it was changed

thanks guys; will pop the bonnet up again; and tighten them... will also check to make sure the hoses aren't perished...

@ horgantrevor will you pm me your mobile number please

I would be inclined to change those pipes. They have a tendency to leak.

thanks Olly... was looking forward to bringing this one down to you for the GTG... and not the 210...
