Today whilst cleaning the inside of the windows of the BM i shuffled my ar5e across the drivers seat to reach the corner of the glass and now have a lovely 6" scratch on the black Daytona seatbase thanks to one of the stud fasteners on my cargo shorts. Being that the 9000 mile interior was previously unmarked i would like to get it repaired , or at least covered to make it less visible.

So , has anyone tried the online leather repair kits or had someone effect a repair that has lasted , preferably around the West of Scotland area.

Cheers - K

I'd try an upholsterer who specialises in leather. Those furniture people can be real artisans

Just to give you an idea price wise, I had a couple of panels replaced on my W205 C Class a few years back. The Artico Leather on Drivers seat had split and was parting at one of the seams. I had them replaced with Genuine Leather, no way was I having the rubbish Artico back in, Quoted £70 had it done in a couple of hours, well pleased with it. Just look for a car trimmer / Upholsterer on Google, should be one or Two in or near Glasgow.

I have purchased a scratch repair kit so i will give it a go once it arrives , if i make an ar$e of it then i will get someone that knows what they are doing to have a go.

Had a go at the repair today , did the base and bolster while i was at it.

Not factory fresh but certainly an improvement , for £24. Plus the kit will do for any further mishaps and for the Porker + the Juke.
