The X section is very neat and looks like it was pre fabricated. In the US the vast majority buy pre fabricated Magna Flow type X's and get their local exhaust shop to fit them. It's a much better solution than some of the dodgy squashed X's I've seen attempted by some places.

Great job and yes the sound is fantastic...... enjoy

Matt, 2 questions. First the nosey one...how much?

Second...you're not concerned about the MOT?

Little update

My secondary cats where in terrible shape - rattling under acceleration and small leaks

I decided to go for an X pipe but keep the resonator ; as this is my daily driver I wasn't sure if I wanted the aggressiveness of it removed

If I decide to do it too I can go back and get t taken out and stainless pipe
In , in its place !!

She sounds great - a little more bark than standard

Really pleased with the results :D

What he took out (exhaust paste had been applied recently by me on an attempt
To stop the cats rattling until he could get me
Booked in )

After :

Looks great! Is the rest of the exhaust completely standard? I'm considering a x pipe myself. Is it much louder than the resonator? A little sound clip would be nice to hear if the time permits :thumb:

Powerflow is a franchise business and they supply their 'branches' with a huge catalogue of pre-fabbed bits. If you are unlucky you can end up with nice parts crappily welded together.

Cold start for all to hear

It sounds glorious under heavy throttle - not as invasive as the full resonator dealer , you still get that s/c whoosh / blow sound coming through the exhaust

Yes absolutely spot on Jules

It was a prefab one - which I like as the diameter was the same the whole way through ensuring good flow

Really love the sound - and glad I didn't go res delete

Very true , we have a few power flow exhaust places locally and some don't do good work

The chap I picked was on recommendation from a friend and boy ...he didn't disappoint

My last 3 merc v8's have had no issues with NI MOT with no cats or resonator Ciáran

The secondaries arnt a requirement as long as it has. At least 2 cats

Resonator is not a requirement at all

You should do yours ....ping me a PM and I'll give you prices

Nice work Lenny. Sounds awesome I bet.

cold start video link posted above mate

He didn't have 2.75" and I didn't want to go 3"
I talked to Cyclone behind the scenes about diameter of pipe - 3" would most likely loose some low end drivability , which I don't want as I drive my car daily to and fro work
