Why does this LS400 have different lights to the usual LS400 - is it an import from Japan?

There was a slight facelift on the 400 (which included the clear lights) before they went to LS430.

I'm fairly certain that's an original U.K.supplied car. The lights look correct to me, HID's on the last of the 400's along with a VVTi engine, five speed box among several other changes from memory.

Are you in the market? If the timing belt is not due and the brakes are in good order (they are hard on brakes & tyres for that matter), it could be an interesting punt.
