lg 3gs wont pair

Help I tried to pair my LG g3s phone to the "new to us" 2014 GLA but cannot not make it pair, the car see's the phone provides a password but the phone does not show password i have also noticed the phone switching Bluetooth on and off while searching for devices. I have a used this phone for 18 months and its paired fine with the other 4 cars we have one being fitted with a 16 year old parrot system, also I now find it wont pair with a 2015 Vauxhall with Navigation that we have just got any ideas.

Try a factory reset of your phone.

Have you cleared all paired items in the car (previous owners ones?)

yep the only one on there is the wife's that the supplying dealer paired last week. I,m just updating phone operating system in the hope it will work.
