2004 c220 CDI s203
Hi,
The electrical problems with my 2004 C220 cdi point towards replacing the engine wiring loom. The part number is A6461500833. The cleanest and best presented one that I can find on ebay is from Germany and has a part number with a '6' replacing the '8'. This might indicate a left hand drive model. Does anyone know if the two looms are interchangeable - it appears that the major electrical components are in the same positions under the bonnet.
Thanks in anticipation.

My first thought is that if MB could use the same loom for both LHD and RHD, they would?

Earlier models had handed looms because the ECU package from whence all the electrical zigglies emanate was usually on the opposite side of the engine bay from the brake servo. Which, of course, is on the opposite side from a UK car.

Thank you both for your quick response. Is the 2004 considered an earlier model?

Yes.

Thank you.
