Heyas,

My climate control system was repaired recently - the air con didn't blow cold air at all, they had to re-gas the system or something, and they also replaced something in the unit because the fan was making gurgling sounds.

However, I noticed when driving last night that even though the lights were on and the dash was lit up everywhere else, the display for the climate control (with the driver and passenger's side temperature and the blowing strength and stuff) wasn't lit up - you can't see it at all at night.

Since this is the first time I'd really driven the car at night (ok I know, but I have a 2 year old baby and a wife heavily pregnant with twins to look after at the moment, we don't get out much!), I'm not sure if it was like this before the repair or not (only had the car a couple of weeks, and most of that time it was being fixed for various things!).

So, should this be lit up or backlit or something? Any idea how I can fix it? Or do I have to give it back to the salesman again to get it repaired and lose my car for another couple of days again? :-(

Thanks,

-simon

take it into an MB main dealer they have a special tool which slots into the Contol unit and it just lifts out so they can replace the bulb in a jiffy (well a very reasonably priced jiffy anyway)
