Light Switch Control on SLK230 1999

Having owed my SLK230 for less than 24hrs I've managed to break the light switch control unit!

When the main lights are on you pull one stop for the front fog lamps and you're supposed to pull a second stop for the rear fog lamps.

For some second it won't pull into the 2nd position and when I tried....well I broke the thing!

Does anyone know how much it costs to replace the unit and how easy / difficult it is to do?

Hello, just tried the switch on my 2001 SLK, it should move freely. I would also say that it `click` into each position, and then when you pull it for the foglights they `click` as well. Hope this helps, not sure how much they are from a MB dealer, but here is a link to a switch on eBay !

You sure it's broke?
The knob does pull off to replace the rear foglight bulb.
