My lights seam to have become permanently on when the ignition is on! Normally I leave then on "auto" so they come on when the light fades......but I've noticed in the last couple of days that they are on even if I twist the switch to off. Bit odd. Not really a problem at this time of year as it seems to be dull everyday at the moment......but its sunny here today (yes really) and they are still on....and anyway they should not come on even in the dark with switch set to off. My battery got a bit low where I've not driven it for a month.....but no other faults came up and its fully charged now. Any ideas. I cant seem to find a setting that puts the headlight on all the time.....just the DRLs. Any ideas?

A faulty light switch?

It's probably a setting in the dashboard Convenience menu - like Follow Me Home lights etc. That's how I set both my cars as lacking even DRL's I use that setting to have dipped heads on with the ignition, to enhance my visibilty to others front and rear.

Maybe.....but it was fine until the battery went low... no codes showing.

Sorted...follow me home lights made no difference....but I switched the DRLs off and on again.... and now the main light switch works as it should....switched to auto but lights off in the sun. Very odd.

As they say..."If you can't fix it with a bloody great hammer you've got yourself one of them there electrical problems"!
