I'm in mourning This guy has been a large part of my life since my teens, his music has helped me through some very dark patches. I went to see him on his final tour 'Last At Bat' (amongst others) and to be fair he didn't look good then. I'm glad now I was able to be in the third row for the final time I would see him. RIP Mr Loaf, may you forever have paradise by the dashboard light.
His unique style might be characterised as " operatic rock" where performance often dominated the musical aspects of his music- perhaps that was his attraction? RIP
Very happy, slightly hazy memories of when I first went out with the current and final Mrs Ted, going round to her flat, smoking dope and listening to Bat out of Hell 2 all evening.
If life is just a highway then the soul is just a car.
