Hi all, hope you dont think I am imagining this but all the songs I've heard on my mate's computer which have been downloaded through limewire sound a bit like they're on helium!! (just slightly, you cannot tell at first). Is there any way to bring the pitch down without slowing the tempo? anyone experienced this? :)

Possibly your mate's computer or his speakers? Limewire music sounds good to me on my stereo system.

A lot of the Limewire content is "theft-ware" and may have been transcoded more than once.

(e.g. legal owner rips CD to Itunes/MP4 and then "shares" to mate who transcodes to WMA - losing quality - and then "shares" again to mate who transcodes to MP3 - you get the idea).

If this is the case then the inevitable loss of quality at each transcode is gone forever!

(and of course by downloading it, you are receiving stolen property and leaving a solid trail, including your IP address).
