Hi

Having taken a gamble on buying a S210 E320 CDI which was in limp mode so i could meet the Maximum £500 purchase cost to enter it in rally to drive to rome next year i'm looking for a little help.

The car is in limp mode, no rev beyond 3000 etc but has now warning lights on the dash. the EGR bypass mod was done by the previous owner and he had also fitted a new MAF sensor the week before he sold the car to try and fix the limp mode, it didn't.

All the other threads i have read say that the first step is to get it on a star for a full diagnostic, so finally here is my question. Can anyone recommend an independent specialist in the edinburgh area where i can get a diagnostic done?

i dont mind a little bit of travel as other than the limp mode the car drive fine. ovbiously Mercedes Edinburgh as more than willing to check the car but an hour of there time is almost a quarter of the price i paid for the car.

all advice greatly appreciated

Many thanks
