The silver one.
I am not sure if i have a prob or i cannot use the linguatronic properly:confused: , i can call up nav with the linguatronic, but not input any addresss etc.

Is it me or is my car to old 2001?

Once or twice i have heard a northern accent say Home so maybe me.

I don't think you are old, the car is. I was reading the W211 VC manual and even that did not have Navigation specific commands. Later models (likely the very latest NTG2.5 W211 Comand too) do support navigation controls too.

My 2005 with Linguatronic will accept voice navigation commands

That is interesting, I was reading the US edition for the W211 from 2007 (not sure if that was the print date or if it was for 2007 cars).

This W211 only accepted the "map" command to make the map visible.

Oh yes, I remember someone posted the full list quite some time ago. This really looks different.

The pdf is only 256 kbytes but I cannot attach it. The index page fits.

Thank glojo for providing the valid Euro info (applies to whitenemesis too, posted while I was typing slowly). The question about the 2001 car features still remains, would it look like the US one or should it have Navigation controls?

I think it is only MOST based systems that have voice commands for Navigation

That would probably not be a 211:)

D2B Linguatronic (pre 04 basically) wont control navigation.

Yes, this is why I stated that the question about the 2001 car still remains (I did not have even a US version of VC manual for a 210).

The car model was not mentioned actually, I guess we both assume 210 from the profile of the OP.

My w210 wont accept the lingutronic input for navi

Saying "home" would activate my phone :)

Thanks for the replies i tried again today and theee was def a northern voice saying home so trying to find instruction book right now.
Yep car is W210 sorry:eek: 2001.

Is the car second hand? Sounds like you have name tags from the previous owner?

The northern voice saying "home" is probably a phone book entry for the driver to call home , i suspect many of us have the same . If you want to get rid of it

activate "lingutronic"

say "list phone book"

it should say "Do you want to delete the entire phonebook"

Say "yes"

No more northern voice

Found linguatronic booklet and i went outside to play and you are both right its the phone book list i was pulling up, so now deleted.

According the instructions all you can do with nav is call it up ie navigation on.

Its very secondhand 2001 and nearly 100k, off to France in it soon right down to the south.

You should think about updating the phone kit , Comand.co.uk do adapters and the viseeo one works so well with lingutronic it really is a joy

If the COMAND unit has a firmware upgrade then you will discover that each time the unit is updated that more of the Linguatronic can be used.

The very early COMAND with a very recent Linguatronic module is a bit hit and miss. When the latest software versions are applied correctly the number of features which may be operated by voice increases.

If all else fails ... "help" will disclose what the linguatronic may handle.

I thought the increased functionality was due to the change to MOST?
