I am new to Mercedes and now know what a W213 is, but is there a list of all the others so I can keep up with you guys?

I'm new to Mercedes ownership, so bare with me please. But does anyone have a list of all the 'W' Mercedes reference numbers and what actual model they relate to? I'm know that my 1998 CLK is W208 and the new generation is W209 but that's all I know. Without knowing the others it's sometimes...

It's all new and confusing to myself as well, so Google has been very helpful in explaining the different models and other unfamiliar terms that are used on this forum.

I suppose there must be some logic in all of the the numbers but the only thing I've noticed is the middle digit, 0 = C class, 1 = E class and 2 = S class. e.g. W205, W213 and W223. And even this logic only goes back 4 generations.

Plus they are the same as the first three numerals in the VIN? (or vice versa!)
