My S213 is two years old this week. I've owned for one year.

Just had a Live Traffic Information Expired notice.

Is this an annual sub ? I 'thought' new cars came with a 3 years included.

I can't see anything on Mercedes.co.uk to say either way.

TIA

Just wondering if the change of ownership at one year changed the status to an approved used car with one year of entitlement. I've got absolutely nothing to back up that supposition.

I’m wondering that also - have emailed MercedesMe customer services to ask.

Mine has 3 years. I have just checked the latest Mercedes Me T&Cs and if just says three years from activation for all models and systems. I suggest you call Customer Services 008 009 77 77 777 or 0207 660 9993

My 2017 w205 only had 2 years live traffic on Audio 20.

A new sd card from a dealer in Newcastle upon Tyne for £99 gave me the latest maps and another three years live traffic.

Just called MB. To renew life traffic:
1 year: £49
2 years: £89
3 years: £119

flipping expensive!

Rip-off. My car has a couple of other features and to enable them (after my 3 years is up next month) looks like it is going to cost a lot - I'll have to pay for 11 features and can only use 5 in my car.

That's what TomTom charge their customers that don't have lifetime traffic on their sat navs as well.
So I would say it's a TomTom price rather than Mercedes.

Post 6 looks like a purchase from MB Newcastle and looks a decent deal!

My complaint has been escalated to Germany by Mercedes UK - not sure what that means but hopeful they will give me the extra year!.

Yes I just had to renew, and went for 3 years at £119. Last time I did it it was 3 years at £79. Strange that the price is going up as the car gets older.

All my services ended today - no live traffic, no fuel prices, and the Mercedes Me app no longer gives me any info other than the mileage. I also had an email from Mercedes today, telling me there were new map updates to download - there may well be, but they've also switched off that function! Clearly their internal communications are not co-ordinated.

it wouldn't be so bad if they warned you in advance that you were reaching the end of your subscription; simply switching the functions off with no notification leaves a bad feeling, and makes me suspect they're just money grabbing bustards. The data link to the car must still exist, because there's still the SOS function, so I'm not sure what it actually costs MB to let me check my tyre pressures from the comfort of my armchair.

This time I received an email 14 days before it expired, I assume this is because Mercedes have my email address through Mercedes Me.

Last time it just expired and I noticed shortly afterwards, but I wasn’t registered for Mercedes Me back then.

the costs are unsustainable when free apps provide better information

I've just had an email from Mercedes telling me that my services expired today - maybe they were just practising 'not being there' yesterday. 3 years Live Traffic - £119, Map Updates £149, Remote Status retrieval £79, making a total renewal cost of £347 for three years. I could buy a few TomToms for that.
