I like how the ad describes it as being immaculate.......as long as you don't have a look at the MOT history! :eek:

To be fair the car is 22 years old so it’s not going to be perfect for £1,400. Approach the car on a standalone basis ignoring the owner etc. It’s a cheap car. It’s not going to be perfect and the owner may well be a bit of a wideboy. I’d still consider it if I did my own checks. You’re dealing with the gutter end of the market at this price point. One step away from scrap value. Expectation should be set accordingly imho:

Well yes, but personally I'm way past dealing with these sorts of characters. Decades of car buying experience has taught me that there is some credence to the "buy the seller" type approach. I'm sure others will take a different approach. Just me getting old🤣

If I'd used that approach, I'd not have bought some of the junk I've had in the past...
