CLK 320
Hi, joined up in August 2009 when we purchased our CLK320 Sport.

Previous Mercedes include a 1990 300 CE and a 1987 CE - both regrettably sold.

About to purchase a lovely R129 - fun car, whilst keeping my van and the CLK for everyday use.

So as you can imagine - I have lots of R129 related questions!

Live up in Blackpool so thankfully close to Ian at W124 (who's already looking after the CLK)

Cheers!

Welcome.Ian's a good man...by all accounts.

He was more than helpful when we had to have the car in for window work. His great attitude, helpfulness (not to mention price) is the reason why the CLK (and soon to be R129 as well) will only be going to him in future.

Very lucky to live nearby.

Welcome ukkey. No doubt I will bump into you at Ian's one day.
My daughter lives in Clevleyes so I may see you on the road around Blackie too.

Here's the SL129 we've just bought.

Nice car, needs a few bits and bobs to make 100% (don't they all!)

Another shot of the cars. The little terror is allowed to sit in the front with Dad whilst parked. :)

Nice car.
You're confident where the front bumper is then. :)

Very nice. I've tried, unsuccessfully, to get my wife to swap her Z4 for an R129. Maybe one day. Looks good in black dont see too many in that combo.

Thanks, originally my Wife was going to have it then realised it would be a bit impractical if she lost the CLK, but by this time I'd already fallen in love with it

+1 in black and with those rims it looks awesome

Cheers. It's wants some fettling which it's receiving as and when funds allow etc but I bought it with a view to long ownership. I guess that's like most members here though.

Had a couple of CE's in the past (an '87 and a '90) and had forgotten what great build quality felt like. To be honest though the CLK sport has been great, lovely drive and far better than her previous 325i.

It should be compulsory for drivers to try a Mercedes (especially an older model) just to see how far ahead of the game they were/and are.

Picking up a panoramic roof tonight for the SL - will get pictures up once it's been painted etc.
