I did my first longish journey yesterday, since I've had the car, it was only a 230 miles return one but completely pleased with the way it went, I brimmed the tank before I left and brimmed it again when I got home, it used £50.30 although there was a bit of traffic around I managed to open the taps a few times, plus the A/C was on the whole time......I didn't feel quite as rested when I got back as well as my RRS but was pleasantly surprised

Since I seem to get circa 450 miles out of an £80 fill in my S Class , yours is only slightly less efficient .

My SL was about the same as the S Class , for a 3.0 vs a 3.2

What MPG did you achieve.

Quoting fuel consumption in units of currency is meaningless unless you tell us the price of the fuel/litre.

It returned just under 26 mpg

Prices vary more by time of year than anything ; it is presently quite easy , at least across Scotland, to get petrol for £1.08/£1.09 per litre , of course many places charge more but I avoid them ; those prices are commonplace in all cities and larger towns , and I got petrol on Friday for £1.09 from Morrison’s in Fort William , so even out in the sticks you aren’t held to ransom ( saw the same prices in Inverness but was still on half a tank at that point ) and above 1/4 in FW so she only took £70 odds there ; I could possibly have got the 100 miles home but don’t like to run it too low .
