Might be useful for prospective buyers... Also lists mileage at each MOT and failure or advisory details from each and every MOT test since computerisation.



Needs Reg number and reference number off registration document or MOT station number.

Assuming you are provided with the necessary info by the seller before completing the sale - is it law that an advisory should be kept and provided with the VTC at the time of sale ?

There`s a thing now, mine wasn`t presented with the ticket when purchased (3 weeks ago) Was actually going to ring the test center next week to find out what the advisory was for. This has saved me a call

It was only for a tiny chip in the windscreen outside of zone A.

Very happy.

Thanks for that. Will be using that when I next purchase a car. Although I generally like all MOT Certs to be there when purchasing anyway. On the main certificate they state that an advisory has been issued so really if the advisory is missing you know they are trying to cover something up anyway.

Not really, as my C200K underwent its first MOT on Friday. I was issued an advisory note for the following:

Exhaust noisy - I was not surprised as i have Kleemann header and cat installed.

Rear indicators slightly discoloured - not surprised again as i have smoked the tailights on my car.

As the wording on the advisory notice states ... 'The items below do not constitute MOT failure. They are drawn to your attention for advice only ...'

Fine for me not a prob - just pleased to know what i knew already.

Thanks for posting the link, just used it to check my 2001 C270, I have all bar 1 of the old MoT certs so this "filled the gap". Only lists the tests back to 2006, so I guess that's when MoT computer records began. This forum is really helping me complete the file for this car!
