Look what just arrived .....

That (imo, due to me being a highly stylish chap and all :D ) they look like rejects from the Halfords christmas special catalogue.

I've seen them on a few cars in the showroom and would remove them straight away, very very tacky.

I think the same about the sill plates which light up.

Dave!
Couldn't have put it better myself. Pedal rubbers should be black. The end.

I understand that it is, in fact, law that all MB Club members have to have this mod!

My S was really cheap to mod, it only has two pedals!
The ML is a sport model, so it came as standard:o

I'd prefer to eat my own hand than do this mod... Does that mean I'll be expelled? Just when I was getting to like it here, too.

Don't make me choose!

No , there are others that don't like them as well ....

Doesn't the C63 you have on order come with them ? if so , you might have to ask them to just fit normal pedal rubbers for you ....

The C63 has been shelved, not specifically due to the shocking pedals with little rubbery things, but more due to the fact that it's not good form to be laying people off whilst taking delivery of a £60,000 super saloon. Credit crunch and all.....

I'm irrevocably connected to the construction industry and cutbacks are must....I've inherited the Saab 9-3 sportswagon I currently drive from my ex marketing guy....I'll see the lease out on that then have a rethink.

Things are not what they were a year ago when I ordered the C63.

I wear Tod's, i haven't noticed them clashing. Maybe you have bigger feet than mine and the rubber bits get bigger depending on your she size ;)

She size? Is that something I should be asking Eddie Izzard about?;)

Quite, maybe you could get an anodised gear knob to match whilst in there.....awful...all these memebrs have been hoodwinked buy the OEM label that these items have attached to them:eek:

I like these, even more so that I can go in the MB dealer and pay less than eBay!!

Just to confirm, if I walk into MB with the following part numbers, will the pedals that I am given fit a W208 CLK:

Accelerator :- A170 300 0004
Brake :- A170 290 0182
Parking Brake :- A203 430 0084

Thanks

Yes .

You may have to run the gauntlet of scorn first though if any 'shiny pedal haters' are in attendance .... chucking rotten cabbages at you as you come in the door .... ;)

I said I would never get this mod, now I have a 'Sport' & it would suit the interior... im now tempted :(

Stop grizzling and get yourself down to the parts counter Karl ! :D

Cheers! They do go with the car pretty well, however I do like the look of the 18" AMG wheels for the W208 which could be a future mod. Maybe then I too can have a set of winter wheels :D

Gotta be honest , 17 gives the nicest ride and look.

We have ( another ) CLK430 that we have 2 sets of wheels for , a set of BBS 18 inch , and a set of BBS 19 inch.

The ride with 19's on is enough to jar your fillings loose , the 18's are better , but because the car isn't lowered , it looks a little bit like it is on stilts ...

With 17's you can keep the stock suspension ( and ride ) and still look cool.

I would go with the 17 inch AMG's either in style II or like the ones on mine.

This is the other one on 18's ...
