2022 GLC 300 estate- replaced 2018 Gle 43 AMG Night - replaced previous 2015 E63 AMG
I'm looking to buy an old merc just for my run to & from work and occasionally ferrying my son & his mates around. when my E55 sells, I will buy something really special for weekends & non work stuff which will probably only have 2 seats.

Any thoughts on say a pillarless E class coupe ??? it needs to be something a bit different rather than just a realy old W210.

I was thinking of spending around £7.5K max. mileage is not an issue as long as the service history is there.

any thoughts , ideas or advice welcome.

:)

I know of a smashing looking C240 Estate, Azurite, R-reg. It's £1k over your budget and you probably dont want an estate but thought I would mention it.

Like this one?

Agggghhhh...someones wrecked it by doing an LPG conversion!!!!!

I tell you though, I'm sort of waiting for the right 320 coupe to come onto the market. I just haven't seen any yet that takes my fancy. :(

yes sp!ike , I agree, nice looking car but LPG????

The E coupe is definately the sort of thing I'm looking for

any advice/buyers tips on what to look out for on these ? Any model/year variants. When were the last ones made?

Thanks for other input guys . keep it coming

The SEC is out. its a bit too big it wouldnt fit in my parking space at work anyway -

Im going to get stoned in the market square for this but ...

How about a 6 Series BMW ? I love those things . They are rare enough ..

Takes Fuzzer to clinic, explains to doctor the he has a temporary loss of logic. Doctor recommends electro therapy and a partial labotomy. After some time Fuzzer returns to normal (ish).
:D :D :D

Actually as a kid I was also a big fan of the 635CSI. Not as crazy as it first sounds.

Mind you I have visions of John Cleese and the stoning scene from the Life of Brian :D

Have you made a decision yet ? Everything posted for you to look at was well under budget and I'm kind of hoping that when you've got a car you might like to use what's left to buy us all a drink for Christmas :D :D :D

I've driven that LPG E320 for sale on Ebay. It's in Dudley, and has been advertised for about a year now, originally priced at £8000. It runs fine on LPG, but not when you switch it to petrol. Runs runs rough, and the idle speed throbs up and down between 250 and 1250 rpm. It's also had a respray at the back, and doesn't have air con. To be honest, it looks really nice, but I can't work out why the vendor doesn't sort out the petrol problem, unless he's discovered it's something expensive.

Oh yes, just remembered that you can't get at the spare wheel, which combined with the respray at the back suggests it's had a rear end collision. Vendor says not, but not sure I believed him. It might still be a good car for the price, but definately not one to bid on without getting a pro to check over first.
