2004 E55 Saloon - 2003 C32 AMG Estate - Sold
Hi all
Looking for an E55 estate (or E500 estate) pref the later model. Have a C32 if anyone is inclined towards a P/X.
Thanks
David

Why not go the whole hog and get an E73 ? Fastest estate in the world when made 😊

Hi David,

Hold out for a nice 55K. They are out there, but you’ll need to be patient and flexible on the specifics (colour/mileage/spec etc)

I think you’d be disappointed with a 500 coming from a C32.

Have you considered an E63? They’re starting to bottom out now and offer quite good VFM. There was a highish mileage S212 E63 for £12k the other week.

Might open up a few more cars to you :thumb:

Although both are W211‘S, the E500 and 55K are completely different beasts.

If you haven’t already, take both out for a test drive to see which you prefer.

The E73 , with a bored out version of the V12 M120 engine , done by Brabus , and based on the W124 E500 , was faster in estate form than the saloon , due to aerodynamics, with a reported top speed of 218 mph , the fastest estate car in the world .

Here’s a review of the saloon

They are ultra rare , bought by the likes of the Sultan of Brunei , and extremely sought after .

Also AMG version

Also offered in W210

Why settle for a mere V8 when there are V12s ?

Clarkson tested it and , IIRC , soiled his pants 🤣😄

Nice idea. Maybe a touch too rich for my blood!

Good point. Was under the impression that 63 was not quite the old school feel of the 55?
