Happy Holidays.

After spending a lot of funds and effort reconditioning my W124 Cab it makes sense to replace at least the rear carpet area which is the light grey type if anyone can help?

A few pictures too, can see the difference the new leather is making.

Looks like Feintuft Cream Velour to me ?? I would first suggest that you remove the existing carpet and provided its free from holes give it a good clean. Once dry it can be replaced and enhanced by the addition of a tailored set of mats- which are still available from specialist suppliers. Finding an entire new carpet set is going to be tricky now but again there are specialist trimmers who can supply-- at a price!

Thanks Grober, we thought there were only a few different carpet options? It’s not repairable unfortunately, I’m hoping I can get a carpet from a car being broken.

Will try them.

Hi,
Your best bet may be to look on German Ebay. The rear carpet in the cab is unique, one from a coupe won't fit correctly ( ask me how I know!).
Regards,
Andy

Andy_c oh no! I was hoping coupe/cab would be the same. Is it possible to modify the coupe one?

This might be looking for hens teeth! Mercedes don’t stock it.

Hi,
The problem that I found when trying to fit the coupe rear carpet is that the rear seat on a cab is narrower. The rear "corners" of the coupe carpet ( aft of the front seat belt anchors) wouldn't fit in the corner correctly. The rear seat base catches are also in a different place, along with the front seat belt rails ( that bolt to the transmission tunnel). Whilst they aren't out by much (1 inch or so), it was enough to be annoying every time I looked at it.
I had a go at cutting the coupe carpet to try and make it fit correctly, but it wasn't a success. In the end, I cleaned my original cab carpet for several days and got a presentable finish. You may find somebody who could cut and join the corners but the people I spoke to suggested that it was unlikely to work very well. I didn't try D Class ( d:class automotive - specialists in automotive interiors and upholstery ) , they may be worth a shout as they have a very good reputation.
You'll find that the front carpets are different from a coupe as well. The (thick) foam backing on the front carpets is moulded with a different profile. This, however, is fairly easy to sort out with a sharp knife and a bit of patience.
Regards,
Andy

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I have to give my 2p's worth. I've resurrected completely ruined carpets by removing them completely. covering them in G101 or similar, working it in well and the powerhouse lightly. I have a small wet & dry to get as much of the water out as possible and they look like new. It does take a lot of elbow grease but as long as there are no rips you should be fine. The attached pic is of the boot lining of a W124 that had sat in a field for over 10 years full of crud and muck
