Looking for service in Berkshire area

Hi

any recommendadtions for MB servicing in Bershire area ?
I've been quoted £280 inc for first A service on my C180K from TonyPurslow @Guildford and want to shop around for some quotes.

Previous new Merc we had was a C180 and I paid £175 inc back in 1999 from memory. I was kinda expecting £200 max....

Hi, I work in Reading & live in Crowthorne.

In Caversham there are two good independent MB places.
Star Motors at the very end of Send Road, 01189 46 2750, is run by Ian Wright. It's a small place. Ian knows his stuff - can be a trifle abrupt when you ask silly questions, but then he's busy. I've used him for about 4-5 years.
Another is John Griffiths http://www.jgriffiths.co.uk/, where, I believe, Ian Wright was trained. I've used them once recently when Ian was fully booked. They were also very good and very accommodating - 3 mechanics spent about 45 minutes trying to fix a door lock problem in 80o heat when I showed up unannounced and unknown, as a new customer. They charged me £10!
If you work in Reading either would be very convenient for you.

I would highly recommend Ian @ Star Motors.....top man, as is his No2, Grant.

Nice guys, always willing to help and really know their stuff.

Highly recommended and cheaper and better than Griffiths.

As for Purslows they are also the best and cheapest dealer in the Reading area....again highly recommended and much better than Greenoakes.
