Where is the sweet spot for these price wise ? I don't want a minter but I don't want a do-er upper either.

Thanks - although they have very nice examples I don't want to pay their prices (or CCB)

107s have skyrocketed in price in the last couple of years but price is no indicator of condition. There's one on ebay at the moment that I sold for 13K two years ago and it took me quite a while to sell it. It's now being marketed at 22k!
They're all old so don't be mislead by the urban myth that post 85 is rust-free.
Do some research, find someone of repute who knows these cars well and be guided by them. You can come unstuck real quick otherwise.

I think you can buy a nice one for around £15k.
You need to look very carefully for Rust on these cars so take someone who knows the 107 with you before you commit to a purchase.
Most of the rust problems are internal and it is not usually seen in the body panels, good hunting.

Excellent advice. And don't trust specialist dealers either. Some of their stuff is emerging with horrific rust problems.
