Hello, im new to this group but I'm hoping to find the answer to an on going issue my local independent cant fix..
I have a 2009 S320 cdi, all was fine until the gears once the engine is warm go from 1st to second then to 4th. I can use the paddles to engage the others. Independent had the car for 2 days, checked ecu as it was in full limp mode, changed a rear wheel speed sensor and spent an extra hour on the wiring on the EGR. O2 sensor had been changed prior as had EGR and MAF unit. Cost me £550 and still not working once warmed up, when cold all is good????

Is that an MB specialist garage with Mercedes Star diagnostics ?
Mereceds specialist PCS in Portsmouth is probably the closest I can think of for you .
It’s just guesswork without the diagnostics fault codes .

Thanks for this info, they are a German car specialist but not sure if tbey have Star, its going back in to them on Thursday as I'm not happy with paying £500 and its still missing gears when hot. If I turn the ignition off and on again its fine for a few miles...

you may get away with a tranny oil flush has anyone checked the transmission oil level?

Hi Mark , I can fully understand your frustration but I feel it's a little unfair to publicise your issues on here without allowing PCS the opertunity to re visit the problem.

Whilst I have never taken my car to PCS I went for a ride in my mates car and I was duly impressed by PCS attitude and attention to detail.

Lets us know what the outcome is !

Was it PCS that did the work ?

When was pcs mentioned?

Ok maybe the op can tell us what the mileage is on his 2009 S320 and if he has any service history and has the box ever had a atf change, the best place is PCS for getting the car right ,but of course go back to the german car garage if he wants,my guess is that you need a ATF and filter change in the box,and see if that cures it,do you have any come back from where you bought it?

Hi,
PCS have never seen the car, it was a local indie in Worthing that the car has been back to but they want me to pay even more money for them to explore the faults, even though they done this last week. I could easy spend another £500 with them and not have the issue fixed. I will contact PCS when I get an opportunity to take time off to get to them
