Loss of Power C220 CDI 05

Hi everyone

I own a 2005 C220 CDI

The car drives fine but has an Intermittet fault whereby it has a loss of power. When restarting the engine does it go away until the engine is warm.

An OBD code came up with P0201 Injector 1 Circuit Malfunction as well as P0404 EGR system range performance.

It seems like there is a problem with the wiring connection on the injector 1 which explains why it is an intermitted fault and this must have then caused some on/off fault with the egr I believe.

I would be grateful if someone could shine some light on this for me.

Faulty injector or wiring.
Take the EGR off and clean it , more likely it is clogged with soot.

I got a loss of power in my e320. My advice is get it to a Merc specialist. I wasted a lot of money and time trying things people recommend but as the error codes can be misleading with a loss of power it ain’t worth it.
I had an EGR error, replaced the EGR for £300 and it wasn’t the cause. Turned out mine was a turbo actuator problem.
