This morning I was driving my late 2015 S212 E220D BLUETEC through some flooded roads. Around 10 minutes later, the dash lit up with amber warnings telling me I had the following were no longer available:
  • ABS
  • EPS
  • Collision Prevention Assist Plus
I also seem to have lost:
  • Brake hold
  • Active Parking Assist

The car is drivable, but obviously the loss of these functions is far from ideal.

Is there something like a reset that I can do before taking it to the garage?

Thanks in advance for any replies (- and apologies for misspelling ‘Assist’ in the title but it won’t’ let me edit it!).

Likely to be a wheel speed sensor with those faults.

I agree with wheel sensor. I had exactly the same faults on my 2013 C220 cdi . A code reader told me it was Front Left ABS Sensor. £60 for original Mercedes part so I took a risk and bought 2 for £16.99 online. Fitting was relatively simple apart from the far end of the cable as you need to bend back the inner wheel arch to clip it in but there are videos of YouTube showing you how to do it. The car recognised it immediately and all the warnings and lights disappeared. Job done!

Hi there. Just joined the forum and saw your post this is exactly what I'm experiencing woth my Cla , however the power steering stops too , did you have this issue in addition to the other problems? This fault comes on and off during a drive & sometimes not at all . Taking it to an MB independent specialist tomorrow. Just wondering roughly what the bill will be ! Thanks

Mine had the same issues on our B200, it turned out to be the magnetic wheel bearing, the seal is magnetic and the sensor picks up impulses as it rotates.
In the end I replaced the whole knuckle but you can buy the bearings and have them pressed in.

Mine was indeed a rear ABS sensor – and it happened again about 10 months later with the other side. Replacement was around £450 all in each time at independent MB specialists using MB parts (the first repair using an aftermarket sensor failed). I was told it was so expensive because the drive shaft has to come off to do the repair.
Please post an update on how you get on.

My guess is that your car is equipped with an electric power steering?
