Hi All, by way of intro, have a 2007 C 200 Diesel, Manual!! bought it at 6 months old most reliable car I have ever owned. 162K and counting. Can't think of any mechanical fault although the electrics seem to have bit of a gremlin (started one week after the air bag recall service). Anyway love tinkering and don't always trust what the part swapper garages say so like to diagnose first.
Love these forums - one of these saved me a £2500 new head and turbo job from the local garage - diagnosed the real problem after trawling a similar site - a blocked breather pipe!! 2 hours to clean with petrol and piece of wire then engine as good as new
