Low mileage C36

Wow, looks mint! even with £30k on the clock im not sure id part with £6500 for it.

Looks good, decent reg. too.

I'm sure it's worth £6k to someone.

That's a steal IMHO. A specialist dealer would normally ask a fair chunk more for a car like that.

Surely a good investment for the future - you'll never lose money on that. Can't be many sub-100k mile C36s, let alone a 30k miler with full MB history?

I really like that. Reasonably priced too.

Nice :) But, at decent quality C43 money, I think you'd really have to be looking specifically for a C36 to part with the cash. Perfect for that person who is though!

A stunning car! Assuming all checks out, it would be a fantastic buy!

The facelift switch gear with the larger, pre-facelift steering wheel looks strange!
I've seen it on a few later C36s, so it's all above board, but I still think it looks odd!

This must be the 1st W202 ive seen with no visible faults (from looking at the pics). :)

I thought there would be a few more buttons on the centre consol as well as climate control.

Very nice car though.

If that were a 5 speed auto box and it was sporting some options (looks base spec to me), assuming it was as true as the seller would have us beleive that's not far what I would pay for it (hypothetically). As it stands I think the price a little high despite the mileage and condition, but probably right ball park. For the now cost of a phone console that hands free installation is shocking, but easilly changed and covered up.

Comparing a mint low mileage C36 to a leggier not so tidy C43 doesn't work. You are either looking for one or the other really. There will be some for which the C36 is their preference and better car anyway. Now if there are straight, genuine C43's with 20-30K miles on the clock for sale for not much more, I 'd rather the C43 but I've not seen any advertised like that in a long time.

A comparible 30k mile FMBSH C43 would be ~ £8-10k+ IMHO.

Not sure on how the options lists changed for the C36 over the years, but I've seen some early ones with cloth seats etc so that isn't too bad. Not sure if the power seats are an option too, maybe sunroof etc? Folding mirrors surely are :)

Is the A/C standard even? :o

It's the sort of car that you can buy, use lightly/keep for a few years and you'll never lose any cash on IMHO.

I'm 95% sure I've seen it driving about near me over the last couple of years, recognise the N66 AMG plate in particular.

Wonder how many owners it has had, and how long it's been kept etc?

That looks the right money to me, that's a keeper and would be a £10K car at any of the known specialists.

Look at the seats....they're mint.

It is perhaps less likely to rust away before a C43 will too.

Anyone live near the garage then?

Would be intresting to see if it really is as mint as the photos suggest

A lovely example. I think the price is about right.

low milage, but a bit too low if you ask me! surely its not good for a car to be sitting around doing nothing for a long time, also lots of short journeys would effect the car more than lots of long journeys!

its also pre facelift, and does not have many option (no heated seats, rear blind, etc etc)

well, some late 96 and 97 models were sort of "mid facelift", had the facelift buttons (which that one actually has), cluster changed, steering wheel was different, and the airbag was like the c43, all plugs and wiring harnesses, some control unit were also different.

That is also one of the reasons the 'facelifted' dash/console looks so sparse. No remote boot opener, no anti towing switch, no ASR button etc which appeared on the facelift...
