low mileage SL60

That is a well photographed, very informative write up of a SL60 AMG,and low mileage

A replacement car for Nickg if i ever saw one. Ticks all the box's IMHO.

Well spotted and any other colour might have tempted me to buy it for 'she that must be obeyed'

Good luck,
John

if it wasn't for the colour I'd be sorely tempted myself.

I agree. Its very well presented and well represented in the listing. IMO the silver colour is one of the best due to resale value etc. It certainly wouldnt put me off. I think its a peach of a car and ideal for Nick.

6 owners ?

most likely a summer car, someone buys a convertible for summer then sells it instead of putting up with the running costs for the rest of the year.

Beautiful SL60, although I have my mind set on the brutal W124 E60 AMG :D

Thats a stunning car and an excellent write-up. Good find.

I would love to have that as a 3rd car for high days and cherish it. sadly too rich for me.

I'll watch it though. Might even have a punt

Pre-facelift though, with the old style interior.
Not sure if that makes it an AMG 'conversion' or an MB supplied SL60 AMG?

I got my eyss on it and will enquire about a possible inspection BUT preferably am after a face lift car... :)

this AMG looks fabulous .. I especially like the wheels.

Flash, I may be in Dorset early next week, so could do an "initial" inspection for you :)

My heart goes out to Nick who has had his 'pride and joy' stolen, I certainly could not contemplate bidding against him and hopefully there are plenty more nice cars out there for us more fortunate folks?

Good luck though,
John

but Nick hasn't even said he's interested ....

Seems a bit of a risk offering a specialist car without a reserve.
The seller mentions a BIN price in the listing but without a reserve the BIN will disappear when the first £1 bid is placed rather than when a bid higher than the reserve is placed.

As long as he honours the auction and doesn't remove the listing at the last minute, it could be a bargain for someone! :)

I'd be surprised if the current bid is that near to the finishing price. ;)

My guess is the person has been offered such a pathetic trade in value that it wouldn't matter what it gets at auction, of course they could have a pal waiting to bid you up in the last few hours...

Give me a chance - haven't logged on for a couple of days!!!
Don't fancy it - pre-facelift................go for it with a clear conscience-looks like a good car but 6 owners is a bit odd.

Thanks mate - I'm going to try and call the guy today to find out a bit about he car and if I pursuit things further I shall let u know and cover all expenses involved... :) The five previous owners does concern me a little bit though but the car looks fantastic and if genuine would be a good buy...

Good morning Flash,
Best of luck with the car,

Having that amount of owners is not the best of adverts, but the vehicle appears on the surface to be well looked after.

I would guess that for the first two years of its life it had a cherished number, then when the Devon owner purchased it they simply registered it in Devon (It has a Devon registered number)

Just for your information, Carrs of Exeter was for many years the Exeter main dealer for Mercedes-Benz so don't worry about not being able to now locate this dealership. (they now sell Ferrari, Maserati and Bentley's)

Fingers crossed for you, and if you have the time please let me know how you get on.

Regards,
John
