Gentlemen,
For the last 14 months I have poodling about on our little island in our trusty 1997 W202. I have covered just 4800 miles in this time. Total mileage is 81400 miles
Our journeys consist of a quick dash to the supermarket (2 mins) or a maximum drive to our accomodation (20 mins) all this happens just 3 or 4 times a week. The car never really warms up.
Is it worth doing anything to the car eg oil changes etc etc. The car was given a full service in Jan 08 by the sensual hands connected to Ian Walker's arms.
All I need to do witch is important is the windscreen wiper mechanism witch is playing up, and a bulb. Apart from this the old barge has been as good as gold. I am dreading the day when things go pear-shaped as the nearest diagnostic machine is on the mainland.
If any-one has any tips on good maintenance then I would really appreciate this.
