This facelift looks adorable, wish they had the facility of small bucket seats with seat belts in the rear for them occasional rear passenger ride on 😍

You can almost see the paint lifting off it!

If it's anything like the R230, if the driver and passenger are tall only small children with no legs could ride in the rear; a child seat would be out of the question.

I don't think it's the problem Fire Opal Red; it looks slightly too crimson for that - Fire Opal is more scarlet. Could just be the light, though.

Description does state Fire Opal.

If not Fire Opal, what other shades of red (cost option) where available at the time? :dk:

So it does; missed that. TBH, I wasn't planning on buying it...

For the UK market, Fire Opal Red (Mars Red in the USA; same colour, I believe) appears to have been the only red option. From the brochure:

"The innovative Mercedes-Benz paint system features one of the finest clearcoats of any manufacturer. Its exceptionally dense molecular structure makes the paintwork more durable and lends it a deeper, more lasting sheen, helping your C-Class Coupé to retain both its looks and its long-term value." Maybe not so much with Fire Opal...

Both great cars but I'll have the C63 W204 chassis in BS any day.
