Low miles owners be quick .... Cls55 Amg

The colour appeals to me...

Decent buy if it wasn’t a CAT.
Tbh it’s sixteen years old with 9 owners and 200k miles - not sure the cat-N thing matters a huge amount!

It wouldn’t take a lot to economically write-off a car of this age/value :)

Yeah fair enough Will, does it not limit the number of insurers that’ll be willing to cover though? or is it just a case of going on Comparethemarket and getting a price? I can’t even see an option to declare CAT.

Can’t see it being an issue myself - would likely just be worth less in terms of any future settlement if you needed to claim.

Not sure I remember being asked the category status of any car when arranging cover either tbh!

I'd think most insurers would cover it, but certainly adjust the payout if it was written off to reflect the Cat N.

Most insurers ask if it has been a total loss as for cost it doesn't really make a difference my SLK55 AMG ,CAT S only cost me £300 fully comp with Nil NCD bargain 😀

You could argue that it should be cheaper than a previously-undamaged car, because a total loss payout will be less; between 20 and 30% less, I think I recall being told.

I thought this thread was about the CLS55.

You're doing it again, slim; posting random stuff in a thread that has nothing to do with it.

Your brain will re adjust - give it time slim.

Blimey, that is stunning - incredible colour combination, and a great car/engine with low mileage too. It’s a lot of blooming money though, but as @Will says, find me another. It would be very interesting to know what it actually sells for.

Personally I cant see it making anything close to that......

Am I right in reading the advert on C&C it says that the seller has listed 5x vehicles this year alone.

Showing as a private seller, is that correct?

Wonder how long they have owned it for? :)
