Above link shows the ball joint removed, the taper splitter, the ball joint removal kit and the instructions etc

As if being a press fit isn't enough, they had to give it a knurled finish just to make sure you'll never get it out!!

Good tutorial but I carried out my lower ball joint change without removing everything from the car.
