I got some 17" wheels for my w202 c180 merc but when i fitted them it looked like it was on stilts so decided to get some lowering springs. after fitting them theres a juddering and knocking noise when its on full lock left. its getting quite allarming. had a look on a ramp and every thing looked ok. i had the tracking done but its still doing it and seem to be getting worse. any ideas?.
thanks.

Don't you think maybe the tyre is rubbing against the arch??

Deffo the tyre fouling something- wing or wheel arch. You can sometimes get a bit more clearance by rolling[ flattening] the wheelarch lip but can be difficult to do without the right tool or damaging the paint. Its possible that the car has had one wing replaced at one time and thus clearance is slightly different on each side?
